Eastwood speech energizing, bizarre

Clint Eastwood just finished speaking, extemporaneously it seemed, without a TelePrompTer. For a archetypal “tough guy,” it seemed more like a standup routine.
Eastwood certainly energized the crowd, because of the novelty and his great star power, but that was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen.
Eastwood will be a major topic of conversation tonight and tomorrow. I wonder if it was the right move.
