For my story this morning, I checked with several anti-Rounds national groups to see if they had thoughts on Larry Rhoden as a Senate candidate. Rhoden today tried to stake out space as the conservative alternative to Rounds, but these outside groups say Rhoden hasn’t met with them yet.
"We’re excited to see another candidate get into this race," said Matt Hoskins, executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund. "We’re going to have to get to know Larry before we figure out whether or not he’s somebody we can endorse."
Barney Keller, communications director for the Club For Growth, said his group has not yet met with Rhoden but would be happy to do so if he wants.
