Reporter Bob Mercer writes that Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s son Chris is leaving his job as an analyst at the Public Utilities Commission for a job as a business analyst at Raven Industries in Sioux Falls.
I’m a little behind on this one for no terribly good reason, but on Friday, the Daugaard family was eating at a downtown Pierre restaurant when a man began to choke. The Capital Journal reports that Daugaard’s son Chris, 25, leaped into action:
(La Minestra owner Mark) Mancuso’s son dialed 911 while Mancuso rushed to the dining room to find Chris Daugaard had already sized up what needed to be done.
“By the time I ran out there into the dining room, Chris had done the Heimlich maneuver and cleared his throat,” Mancuso said. “He should be recognized for that. It was an awesome deal. He took charge of the situation.”
